Posted by StormCloudsGathering January 8, 2012If you support the message we are putting out here and would like to contribute to the project there are a number of ways in which you can assist:
1. Server Administration: We have been donated VPS server space by relaxinternet.com, however, I need help configuring the server in order to transfer the site. The new server is centOS Linux, with a Webmin administration panel. This is the most pressing need right now. Mostly what I need is just assistance early on. I know my way around the command line, and if you explain things to me I learn quickly.
2. Graphic Designers to create posters: We need printable posters, and business cards designed to address the police and the military. Ideally we should have some versions in color and others in black and white. Please use any of the templates found on this page http://mbmllc.net . The posters should be mostly visual with text taken from the video "An Open Message to Police & Military" which you can find on this site. Please send any completed graphics through wetransfer.com to the email "contribute at waitingforthestorm.com".
3. Someone with Project Management Experience: It's become impossible for me to manage all of the emails I am getting. If there is anyone willing to help organize the volunteers which are contacting us it would be very, very helpful.
4. Financial Donations: If you don't have time to help, money is another way to assist. If interested you can click the donate button on the right sidebar.
5. After Effects Guru: If you're a master of short intros and outros I could really use some help customizing the following files for SCGNews https://www.pond5.com/after-effect/8667187/md01-collect-zip.html .
6. Logo Designer: If you can help come up with an improved logo / identity for waitingforthestorm.com and StormCloudsGathering that would be helpful. The two logos should be clearly related and follow the same basic color and design pattern.
7. Drupal Developer with Aegir experience: Once we are on the new server I would like to get the system set up with Aegir. Mostly what I need is just some assistance early on. I learn fast.

I have my PMP/ITIL certification as a certified PM and have been working in the IT field for over 15 years. In addition my wife is Russian and can read the Russian version of the RT website much more effectively then us English speakers can. As you know RT usually has plenty of dirt that you will never find on Western media outlets. Another site that most Americans cannot read is the one from Nikolai Starikov which we can translate if needed ( http://nstarikov.ru/ )
